About New Haven Craft Club
New Haven Craft Club creates thoughtfully designed, hands-on workshops that bring people together.
It began as a response to how disconnected modern life can feel. After more than 20 years as an artist, our founder set out to build creative experiences that feel real — tactile, shared, and rooted in presence. What started as a love of making things by hand has grown into a curated series of mobile workshops that bring creativity directly into local spaces and communities.
We believe creativity isn’t reserved for experts — it belongs to anyone willing to try. Less about perfection, more about connection. Less about performance, more about process.
We collaborate with local venues and community spaces to host pop-up craft experiences that are beginner-friendly, design-forward, and genuinely welcoming. These aren’t cookie-cutter classes. Each workshop is shaped by the people in the room and the space we’re in — with good music, beautiful materials, and enough guidance to help you surprise yourself.
In an increasingly digital world, our workshops offer a chance to slow down, work with your hands, and connect face-to-face. Whether you're carving your first linocut, experimenting with yarn painting, or returning to creativity after time away, the aim is simple: to create meaningful experiences that feel personal, human, and worth keeping.
At our core, we care about three things:
✨ Creative confidence — helping you trust your hands and your ideas
✨ Thoughtful community — creating space to gather offline and build real connection
✨ Meaningful impact — supporting local partnerships and strengthening the communities we serve
We don’t just make things here.
We make space — for presence, for play, and for creativity to feel good again.
